Since the weather was freezing we did a small powder coat job at fellow member Focker's house. Tried not to get to Pimped out.

That's the best looking WR I've seen...Wait...It's the only one I've seen. I'm thinking I want one......Ok...I'm over it. Totally over it! big

Nice job.........only I don't see any dirt & mud on it!! I just got mine before the snow started flying.....didn't get enough miles on it to change factory oil.. Looking forward to coming to "Tech Day" for suspension mods info. I want to "Float-like-a-butterfly" over bumpy roads/trails!!!

Basically we use my garage and stuckinmud's PC setup.


The parts are sandblasted at an undisclosed location.
After prepping the metal we shoot the powder using a Harbor Freight PC gun.
Then toss it in the oven for baby & me.

The best thing is after the part cools (usually 15-20 min) it's ready for install!
As for the mess...We've made a powder booth but honestly don't use it much. I blow most of the leftover powder out the door and hose out the garage on big jobs.

Looks like something from a high end shop. You guys did a great job. Is the Yamaha logo on the swing arm also powder coated? It looks outstanding. cheers

Yeah the powder coating is very trick. Looks factory!

I have a Vinyl graphics plotter so making custom stickers isn't a problem :evil:
