RelayTech
and I decided to check out the Blue Mountains outside Walla Walla. We
were going go to Tolgate ski resort "the back way" for a burger.

Trails looked good.

A small pond.

The first trail had a log that blew over in the middle of the trail.

RelayTech decided to go first and blaze a new trail........ Rolling Eyes

and I followed it up.

We
arrived to this. Snow and more snow. It was just getting deeper and
deeper. We were hoping it wasn't so deep at the end of June. I t looks
like we will have cancel the burger. Lets find other stuff.

We were going to check out a look-out. More snow I guess at 5400Ft the snow doesn't melt as fast in the shade.

Well we were able to take some good photos.

On
the way down we went down a sweet little trail and came upon this deer.
This deer just stood there and walked up 20 feet away from us and just
ate. I never seen a deer fearless of us. This is not a park.

Nice ride and will come back soon.

Back to the truck and home.

Looks like you were riding the northern part of the OBDR. Since I'm going with a couple other guys in two weeks, it looks like that part may be skipped. We are starting from the Calif. border and working north though, so maybe it will be open when we get there. Not holding my breath though.
Nice try and thanks for the pics. thumb

the pond looks like Deduct springs and the sign looked like the one for the south fk of the WW which would have came out at Harris Park (guess they all do really with some exceptions)

I think that is the other end of the trail we saw the deer on. The trail head had no sign, so I was not sure what trail it was or where it went. It was getting late, so we turned around after going down that trail for awhile, and headed back to the truck. It is hard to see the big picture on that little GPS screen! (Or maybe I just need to be more familiar with my GPS and how to use it!) It really was a fun day, and I can't wait to go back and do that whole trail! Hopefully we can get more people next time!

By the way, nice write-up, Yamwow!

I hear ya, I have a garmin vista and without a paper map it is frustrating to figure out where the heck you are going.
