Therma-rest sleeping pads are the cat's meow... But dang are they expensive! Last fall I picked up a SlumberJack sleeping bag on clearance and I couldn't be happier with it (zippered foot opening = no more hot feet).

But I'm still using a plastic, slippery, cold, bulky blow up mattress. Not any more!!!

Found this in a local second hand store, like new condition and gave up my monthly allowance for a good night's sleep on the trail. ($25 he he)
